A man has been arrested in Maricopa for allegedly trying to pay 17-year-old and 19-year-old girls for sex.

The incident happened in the playground area of the CopperSky Recreational Center on March 27 around 9:45 a.m.

The Maricopa Police Department says 46-year-old Michael Yousif drove up to the girls and showed them a stack of money while asking them to perform sex on him or each other.

One of the two girls was able to capture part of the incident on her phone, according to police, and reported the incident shortly after.

Yousif was contacted that day but was released by police while they continued to investigate.
