Roku expecting service disruptions this week: What you need to know, plus how to get ABC15

Posted

Roku customers are expecting an interruption in service this week, which I am shamelessly using as an excuse to remind you of ABC15’s Roku channel.

Roku announced via e-mail yesterday that customers should expect temporary issues with their service this Thursday, August 11th from 5:00am to 11:00am local time. Roku reassures users that they can continue streaming on channels that they have already installed on their Roku device. What will you not be able to do? Add new channels… like ABC15.

Might I suggest you take a moment to add our channel before Thursday's temporary blackout? Here's how!

Log into your Roku account at my.roku.com and select “Add a channel".

Search for “ABC15”.

Within 24 hours the channel will appear on your Roku player's home screen and to “My Channels” in the Roku Channel Store.

Heads up, you will also not be able to activate new Roku devices or make purchases from within channels during Thursday’s scheduled maintenance.

Happy binge watching! We will see you on Roku!
