Family is mourning a Marine veteran who was killed in a head-on crash over the weekend after visiting his family at a Massachusetts hospital.

According to WBZ, 32-year-old Kevin Quinn had just left the hospital where he was seeing his wife and newborn daughter.

Quinn's parents say he will be remembered as a loving son and proud father.

"He helped everybody. His heart was bigger than him," John Quinn remembered of his son. "He's got Marine friends calling from all over the world."

The other driver, Mickey Rivera was also killed in the crash. Rivera, who has an extensive criminal record, was out on bail at the time of the collision.

"Another guy that shouldn't be out on the street. It angers me terribly," says family spokesman Rob Dinan.

Police were reportedly trying to stop Rivera before he crossed the center line, striking Quinn's vehicle head-on.
