Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach will be joining President-elect Donald Trump’s immigration policy transition team.
Kobach told KWCH-TV that a border wall between the United States and Mexico is coming and that he has supported Donald Trump since the beginning.
Arizonans may remember Kris Kobach as the architect behind SB 1070 in Arizona, one of the toughest anti-immigration laws passed in the country.
The bill made it a misdemeanor to be in Arizona without required documentation.
Kobach also told KWCH-TV that he plans to help Trump overturn many current immigration policies that were set in place by the Obama administration.
Local immigration advocacy groups told ABC15 that they are planning on holding a rally Saturday. We are working to obtain more details.
