A precautionary lockdown at a New Mexico Air Force base has been lifted after unconfirmed reports of a shooter on the base.

The Albuquerque Journal reported the base was locked down after reports that shots were fired at the location.
Officials said security could not substantiate claims of gunfire, prompting the lockdown to be lifted.
