PHOENIX — Did you get your tax refund? There are a lot of people complaining they haven't.

Chris Faciana is one of them. He says he filed in March. Two months later, he at least got acknowledgment that his taxes were received.

Many other people let me know they can't even get that. With all of the chaos involving unemployment assistance and stimulus money, refunds aren't getting much attention.

The IRS admits its call centers are not staffed and it's far behind on paper correspondence. It's Where's My Refund section of IRS.gov has also had glitches.

So taxpayers aren't able to find out if their return has been accepted or has any issues. So what can you do?

Well, what you shouldn't do is file a second return as many people have done. That could put you back even further.

Also, if you haven't filed yet, file electronically. There may still be a delay, but the IRS says it is processing those returns.

Being in the tech business, Chris can't understand if there are no audit issues, why electronic filing could still be so far behind.

We pushed the IRS to help specific tax payers get answers. They did not get that help. The IRS will not comment to us.

We will continue to push them to at least acknowledge someone's return.
