LJK: The letter says you're a big winner! Sweepstakes could be too good to be true

It's a big sweepstakes that's handing out a lot of money. Check your mail. You may be a winner.

Or you could be another victim. I'm talking about the Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes.

There's a big drawing in April. But scammers are already sending out mail saying you are a winner.

And they're including checks for $9,000 to cover "taxes and processing" fees connected with the big win.

Think about it.

The whole gimmick here is that PCH shows up at your door and surprises you.

They don't warn you and never will. And the check? You'll find out its fake. But that will happen AFTER you have sent money to them.

You say you wouldn't fall for it? Great.

But still talk to your parents, grandparents, friends and co-workers.

If this wasn't a profitable scam, it wouldn't still be around!
