How easy is it to keep Google from knowing your location?
An investigation by the Associated Press found the company could still track you even if you turn off the "location history" feature.
That may not have been clear in Google's wording.
Google has since changed it.
Since then, a California man has sued the company saying it falsely assured users.
And the Electronic Privacy Information Center says Google violated a 2011 settlement with the government.

To prevent Google tracking, go to activity controls.
Turn off location history.
But also look for web and app activity.
You need to pause that too.
This may keep you from using other Google services.
