Are you a truck driver for XPO Logistics? The company is facing allegations that it misclassifies its drivers as independent contractors, even though they are treated like employees. This has allowed XPO Logistics to get out of paying its drivers for meal and rest breaks and for minimum wage, overtime pay, and expense reimbursement. If you owned a TrueSTEAM Humidifier between January 1, 2008 and April 14, 2017, you may be eligible to claim a new humidifier or up to $40 cash from a class action settlement. The deal resolves allegations that the TrueSTEAM Humidifier, made by Honeywell, is prone to excessive mineral scaling and sediment build-up due to a design and manufacture defect. The class-action lawsuit accused Honeywell of failing to honor its own warranty by remedying the defects. The claim filing deadline is November 6, 2017.Photo by: ABC15

If you own or lease certain vehicles, you may be able to participate in a class action lawsuit involving the car’s defective airbags that can degrade over time and rupture, causing serious, even deadly injuries. Manufacturers of these vehicles are facing claims that they failed to recall these vehicles sooner and failed to proactively help customers by offering replacement vehicles or loaner vehicles until the airbags are replaced. Wells Fargo has reached a $142 million class action settlement over allegations that Wells Fargo employees opened bogus accounts in customers’ names. These customers were allegedly charged fees and suffered damage to their credit ratings. If you had an unauthorized account opened or an unauthorized application submitted in your name, or you obtained identity protection services from Wells Fargo from May 1, 2002 through April 20, 2017, you may be eligible for compensation.
