Authorities say a man was allegedly busted for having an illegal drug lab after suffering burns to his hands and face.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office says on Sept. 9 fire personnel contacted them after they were called to a home where the resident suffered chemical burns to his hands and face.

When deputies went to the house, they reportedly found gas masks, protective gloves, packages of chemicals, propane bottles scales, butane torches and drugs such as PCP and LSD. They also say there was a strong chemical odor throughout the house, court paperwork said.

YCSO believes 28-year-old Frank Soberanis put together plastic and metal pipes and used them as an "extraction device" to make Butane Honey Oil.

A Hazardous Materials Team from the Department of Public Safety had to be called in to remove and store the chemicals found in the home.

Detectives arrested Soberanis for possession and manufacturing of illegal drugs.
