A woman who saw a man take her clothes from her backyard clothesline helped police capture the suspect.

Phoenix police report that on June 12 a woman looked into the backyard of her home near 11th and Dunlap avenues and saw a man taking her clothes from the clothesline.

While contacting police, she watched as 25-year-old Kevin Skylar Debolt allegedly jumped the fence into her neighbor's yard and broke into their house as well.

Police arrived in time to see Debolt steal tools out of that home and break out the back window. Debolt was captured after exiting the window.

Debolt reportedly admitted to police that he had smoke methamphetamine the previous day and told police that "He needed to bad things in order to gain forgiveness from God." He also allegedly told police that he needed the tools, "to dig graves."

Debolt has been charged with two counts of burglary and is being held without bond, since he was already on release from a previous burglary.
