A Phoenix man refused to leave a restaurant after entering with a cigar in his mouth and a song apparently in his heart.
Police records say 26-year-old Gregory Lewis Jimerson entered a Wing Stop restaurant on Feb. 27 near Central and Dunlap smoking a cigar, singing and dancing.
There was reportedly a promotion going on at the restaurant at the time.
A manager asked Jimerson to put the cigar out and calm down to which Jimerson complied. Soon enough, he was back to singing and dancing, according to records.
Jimerson was eventually asked to leave, but he refused, according to police.
A couple officers were outside the restaurant. The manager went out to see if they could help get Jimerson to leave. While the manager was outside, another manager tried to get the man to leave, but Jimerson allegedly pulled out a pocket utility knife and threatened him.
He put the knife away before the officers walked into the restaurant. He was roomed and booked into jail on two counts of aggravated assault and trespassing.
A little singing behind bars, anyone?
