An Arizona man was arrested last week after allegedly threatening two men with a knife and running their vehicle off the road.

On March 22, according to court documents, 24-year-old Shane Edward Buffington was stopped at the intersection of State Route 85 and Maricopa County Highway 85.

When the light turned green, Buffington did not move. He allegedly stayed put through another light cycle.

Police said two men were located in another car behind Buffington waiting for him to move. The two men yelled at him to move. He didn't. One of the men from the vehicle apparently went up to Buffington's car and found him seated with a large knife in his hand.

He reportedly told the man to "get back in the car," according to police records.

The two men ended up driving around Buffington's car. However, police said Buffington went through the light to catch up to the other vehicle. Buffington allegedly pulled in front of them and then slowed down. The other car moved and Buffington sped up again.

Police said Buffington rammed the other vehicle forcing it to hit a guardrail near State Route 85 and Baseline Road.

He was arrested and booked into jail on two counts of aggravated assault.
