A man is accused of taking over $12,000 in cash and silver bars from a Chandler home.

Police say in court documents that 30-year-old Sean Westover befriended a woman who was watching a home for another friend.

The two reportedly met at a hotel. The woman brought the man back to the friend's house to watch his kids while he ran some errands with his girlfriend.

The report does not detail what the relationship was between the man and a woman.

Later, the woman returned to the home and noticed silver coins scattered on the floor near a safe inside the home. Turns out, cash and several silver bars were missing.

Police allege Westover returned to the home and stole 20 10-ounce silver bars, 30 silver dollars, two wedding rings and cash valued at $12,000.

Westover then tried to pawn the items at two businesses through a friend.

He was caught and arrested. He reportedly told police that he needed the money for drugs and to book hotel rooms. He faces a few charges in trafficking in stolen property.
