PHOENIX — A man was arrested on Thursday and accused of groping two women at a store in Phoenix.
According to the charging documents, Craig Joseph Landry, Jr., was seen on surveillance video outside a store appearing to touch himself before walking into the store, which was not identified.
Once inside the store, according to the documents, he continued to touch himself before allegedly grabbing one of the female store employees from behind. Documents state Landry walked away, continued to touch himself, and approached another woman, a customer, and grabbed her waist and pulled her towards him.
Landry then walked out of the store and toward an apartment complex off 19th Avenue, the documents state.
Police said they found the man asleep on a stairwell at the unnamed apartment complex near 19th Avenue and Camelback Road and recognized him from the surveillance video. The two women both identified the man as the suspect, the documents state.
Landry was booked into jail on two counts of sexual abuse, a class 5 felony.
The charging documents did not identify the store nor did they list specifically where the alleged incident happened other than to say Landry was arrested at the apartment complex.
