A man accused of robbing a cab driver at gunpoint in Avondale has been found already in jail on other charges.

Court documents show that on February 3, 24-year-old Raymond Arrowood requested a cab, and when they got to his destination near 91st and Encanto Avenues he allegedly pulled a gun on the female driver.

Arrowood reportedly robbed her of $250 and ran away. The driver says Arrowood later texted her and said that he would return the money.

Police say they used the cell number to identify Arrowood and didn't need to go far to find him as he was already in jail on an unrelated charge.

Police say Arrowood accused the cabbie of making unwanted sexual advances toward him before he demanded that she stop and let him out. He claims the woman threw her purse at him and that he took $50 from it.

Arrowood was arrested for the armed robbery on March 9.
