A reportedly intoxicated woman fled from two accidents at the same intersection after she hit a wheelchair-bound man with her truck.

Phoenix police report that in the early morning of May 5, Lynsie Michelle Burke, age 43, rear-ended a vehicle at 16th Street and McDowell Road with her truck. As she tried to leave the scene, she struck a man in a wheelchair, giving him a broken ankle and multiple cuts and bruises.

Police say she again tried to flee in the truck but crashed into a block wall after colliding with guide wires for a power pole.

Witnesses told police that Burke still tried to escape, this time on foot. When police arrived, witnesses pointed her out to police, who caught her about a block away.

Police took her to a DUI processing van at 3rd Avenue and Indian School Road where they say she was tested and reported to have a Blood Alcohol Content of .249, more than three times the legal limit.

Burke has been charged with leaving the scene of an injury accident, aggravated assault, and endangerment.
