A Phoenix woman reportedly left her debit card and her shirt at a crime scene last month, making the investigation much easier for police.
Court records show that on April 19 a burglar, later identified as 22-year-old Margarita Meza Buelna, allegedly entered a home near 42nd Street and Shea Boulevard and stole $22,000 worth of items.
Police say Buelna entered the home through an unlocked back door and stole jewelry, clothing, purses, and other items.
They also say that Buelna decided to change into the victim's clothes and left her own shirt behind. Police also found her debit card on the table on the back patio.
Using the debit card, they checked her Facebook page, where she had posted a photo that morning in the victim's shirt with the caption, "Let's go on a hike."
Buelna was arrested on May 5 and charged with burglary.
