A Phoenix man has been arrested for possessing photos of children performing sex acts, some of the pictures are of local children.
Court records show that the man even contacted the father of a 2-year-old and discussed having sex with him and his 2-year-old daughter.
Police report that 41-year-old Jose Luis Angulo received images of children performing sex acts. The images caught the attention of the Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, who contacted police when they found the physical address to where the images were going.
Police found that some of the images contained information linking them to locations in Peoria near 75th Avenue and Cactus Road.
Police say that one of the images was of a 2-year-old girl being molested. Police believe that Angulo was in conversation with 39-year-old Jose Javier Merced, the father of the child. The two discussed several times about having sex with each other and the child.
Merced is also accused of sending Angulo sexual explicit photos of his 6-year-old daughter, which he allegedly took in outside a grocery store at 75th Avenue and Cactus Road. The photos of the 2-year-old were reportedly taken at Merced's home down the street from the grocery store.
When police searched Angulo's home, near 41st Avenue and Bethany Home Road, they say they also found images of naked children, that Angulo knows first hand. Police are seeking to identify these children.
Police also report that Angulo does have access to children around two years old, and also reportedly started a social media site where people could openly discuss having sex with children.
Police also say that Merced has access to children and lives near a school.
He was arrested on June 14 at his home in Peoria and is being held without bond on charges of child molestation and sexual conduct with a minor.
Angulo was arrested at Sky Harbor Airport on June 13 and is being held on a $150,000 bond and is facing charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.
