A Phoenix man is accused of having sexual conduct with a minor after a toddler told his mom about the assault.
Police report that a 3-year-old child told his mother that he was hurting. When she asked him about it, he revealed to her that a family friend had molested him.
The family, who now lives out of state, reported the incident, and police there interviewed the child who told them what happened. The boy also allegedly told police, "I cried and him say sorry."
On Nov. 16, Phoenix police arrested 37-year-old Ernesto Leal. He reportedly admitted to police that he touched the child in an inappropriate way but stopped when the victim cried.
Leal is facing charges of sexual conduct with a minor.
