A woman has been arrested for reportedly breaking into 13 storage lockers, mostly in Peoria, and is being investigated for similar crimes in three other cities.

Peoria police report that on May 17 they arrested 31-year-old Shannon Sharifi at her home, near 75th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

Sharifi is accused of breaking into five storage units at a gated storage facility in Peoria on February 17.

Six weeks later she reportedly struck again at the same facility, this time breaking into seven storage units.

Police say she used bolt cutters to cut the motor box controlling the gate.

In cooperation with Surprise Police, detectives identified Sharifi as the suspect. On May 17, she allegedly robbed another locker in Glendale, taking five long guns, ammunition and golf clubs.

Police served a warrant on her home and car and reportedly found the weapons in the car.

Sharifi has been charged with burglary and is being investigated for similar crimes in Surprise, Phoenix, and Scottsdale.
