After stealing items from a Phoenix convenience store, a man is accused of threatening the store clerk with a Samurai sword.

Phoenix police report that on July 27 they arrested a man near 75th Avenue and Camelback Road for threatening a store clerk.

Police say 19-year-old Mark Anthony McCulley, went into the 7-Eleven store and stole a drink and candy. He then got into an argument with the store clerk, before leaving the store.

McCulley then reportedly retrieved a 34-inch Samurai sword from a nearby transient camp. He allegedly returned to the store and threatened to kill the clerk, while holding the sword in an "aggressive manner."

Police located McCulley and the sword at the transient camp.

He has been charged with disorderly conduct.
