A woman was found sitting in a fire engine after damaging another fire truck while it was parked at the station.

Court records show that on March 5, a woman who was found sitting in a fire truck had already cut wires on one fire truck and damaged other equipment.

Police report that when firefighters woke up just after 6 a.m. to go on a call, they found a 25-year-old woman sitting in one of the fire trucks.

It appears the woman, who police say has mental health issues, either jumped the gate or snuck in as a fire truck was leaving. While inside the fire station the woman sat in all four fire trucks, cutting wires on a hazardous material truck. Police say the wires went to the radio, chemical detectors, headsets and other equipment.

She also reportedly drew on a mobile data computer with a permanent marker, in addition to removing other equipment and placing them outside.

She is being held without bond and has been charged with burglary.

There is no word yet on how much it will cost to replace or repair the damaged equipment.
