PHOENIX — A Phoenix mother and her son returned home to find a stranger taking a shower in their bathroom, court documents show.

Phoenix police report that on May 29, they were called to a home near Northern and Central avenues for reports of a trespasser.

Police say the woman and her adult son returned home after grocery shopping and found a pink stuffed animal in their yard. When they entered their home, the two found a pair of shoes and food items that had been opened and eaten.

The female homeowner entered her bedroom and reportedly saw Ravena Lumere, 30, showering in her bathroom.

The woman and her son detained Lumere until police arrived, according to court documents.

Police say Lumere, who was putting her clothes on when they arrived, reportedly asked them for her shoes.

Lumere allegedly told police that a friend told her, "The house belonged to a friend who would not be there today."

She has been charged with criminal trespassing.
