A Phoenix woman survived a violent stabbing attack, allegedly, at the hands of her ex-boyfriend.

A woman, who had her throat slashed and was stabbed multiple times, gives police the name of her attacker before passing out.

Court documents show that the woman went to a family function at  Dave & Busters on Easter Sunday and broke up with her boyfriend.

Two days later on March 29, police say the ex-boyfriend 43-year-old Raul Perez Arostegui, showed up at her home, near Interstate 17 and Indian School Road and attacked her with a knife.

Police report that the victim suffered six stabs wounds to her front and one to the back, in addition to stabs wounds on her arms and a deep cut to her throat.

She was able to contact police after the attack. When they arrived, police say she told them, "Raul did this to me," before passing out.

All the victim's wounds needed stitching and she was put on a ventilator.

Arostegui told police that he was called to come over to the victims' house to get a credit card that was left there.

He says he went there after 10:45 a.m. that day, but police point out that the victim was already at the hospital by then.

Arostegui is being held on a $250,000 bond on charges of attempted second degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
