PHOENIX — An 87-year-old man has been charged with molesting a teenage boy over the past four years.

Phoenix police report that on April 25, they arrested Perry Charles Huellmantel, age 87, at his home in Scottsdale.

Police say a teenage boy alerted his parents that Huellmantel, a family friend, had been abusing him. He allegedly told investigators that Huellmantel had been molesting him over the past three to four years at various locations in Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe.

In a recorded call, police say Huellmantel admitted to inappropriately touching the boy. He made no statements to police upon his arrest.

Huellmantel is being held on a $150,000 cash bond on multiple counts of child molestation and sexual conduct with a minor.
