A man allegedly traveled to Arizona to illegally purchase guns for California gangs for the past eight months.

Court records show that 25-year-old Octavious Terrell Richardson came to Arizona and bought 22 guns, which he handed over to California gang members.

Police say Richardson started buying guns in August of 2015 for people he knew were felons and gang members. He reportedly made 13 purchases at the Aztec Pawn Shop, near Central Avenue and Baseline Road, buying 22 guns.

Police in California were alerted, when one of the guns was seized when it was used in a felony, by a documented gang member.

Police say Richardson was paid $400 for the purchases.

Each time he purchased a gun he forged ATF documents when he said the guns would not be sold to known felons.

Richardson has been charged with 13 counts of forgery, and multiple counts of selling weapons to prohibited persons.
