GLENDALE, AZ — Additional information is released regarding a deadly wrong-way crash on Loop 101 near Union Hills Drive.

DPS responded to a crash involving the wrong-way car driven by Delilah Castillo, 22, of Glendale.

Her car hit another car head-on, killing the driver LaiQuan Lemon of Goodyear. The victim’s car was thrown into another vehicle causing damage but no injuries.

DPS reports that four other drivers had to take evasive action to avoid being struck by Castillo.

Castillo was extricated from her car and transported to a local hospital with multiple leg injuries.

Court records show that she admitted to DPS that she “consumed a Sake Bomb before driving home.”

Investigators say she went to a bar in Peoria where she allegedly consumed additional alcoholic beverages. Her blood-alcohol content level was .171, over twice the legal limit, according to court records.

Castillo was brought into her initial court appearance in a wheelchair where she learned that she was being held on a $50,000 bond for second-degree murder.
