A woman was arrested last month accused of trying to stab a couple panhandling in Tempe.
According to court documents, on Feb. 19, a man and woman were panhandling near Price and University when they were approached by another woman with a knife.
Police allege Nancy Jo Webb, 51, began swinging the knife at the man and woman. The man put his bike in front of him as a barrier and Webb stabbed the front tire.
Webb then allegedly chased the couple as they ran into a nearby Jack in the Box where she pushed the other woman to the ground.
Webb was arrested and booked into jail on charges of assault and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
