Mesa police recently conducted an undercover operation where they arrest a man looking for a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl.
Court records show that 54-year-old James Michael Lantz contacted an undercover detective posing as "Cassie," a 13-year-old girl, and asked for sex.
Police say during the recorded phone conversations, Lantz agreed to pay $125 for sex acts from "Cassie." He also reportedly indicated that he wanted this to be a "long-term sexual relationship."
Police say that on November 15, Lantz showed up to a home near Stapley Drive and Broadway Road and was arrested by police. He is now facing child prostitution charges.
