What do you do when a man with a knife jumps into the back of your pickup truck?
A man in Tempe had to improvise a plan when it happened to him in the parking lot at Tempe's Arizona Mills Mall.
Court documents show that on March 10, 24-year-old Dominic Aragon jumped into the back of a pickup truck with four men inside as it was driving slowly through the parking lot. He then pulled out a knife and started cutting the back cover of the truck.
The four men in the truck were concerned that Aragon would in turn go after them as well. The driver of the truck put the truck in reverse, stopped suddenly and burst forward causing Aragon to fall out of the truck.
However, Aragon was not done. He allegedly took his 4-inch knife and punctured the tires of six other vehicles in the parking lot.
In all, the man allegedly caused $2,000 in damage.
Tempe police say they caught Aragon in the act of stabbing tires in the lot and arrested him.
Aragon is facing one count of disorderly conduct and six counts of criminal damage.
