A Glendale man has been arrested for buying several guns illegally for another man.

Court documents show that 22-year-old Joel Felix Iribe was was paid $50 per purchase to buy guns that he knew were "possibly tied to criminal activity."

Iribe was arrested on March 2 at his home near 71st and Olive Avenues.

Police say on August 6, 2015  Iribe made a deal with another man, who would tell Iribe which guns to purchase and gave him the money to buy them. He also paid Iribe an extra $50 per gun bought.

In October, one of the guns he bought was found in Mexico. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms contacted Iribe and he admitted to making the deals, but denied knowing that some of the guns were being transported to Mexico.

According to the ATF he did admit to forging ATF forms when he purchased the guns.

Iribe is being charged with one count of forgery.
