A' Greedy' TV thief returned to a Glendale Sam's Club to steal another TV and was caught by police.

Glendale police report that on August 19, 35-year-old Gerald Davis returned to the scene of the crime and was caught by Glendale Police after attempting to steal a second large screen television.

Police say that at about 4 p.m. Davis allegedly placed a large screen television worth about $2,800 into a shopping cart and walked out the door without paying for it.

About 90 minutes later the store manager was talking with a Glendale police officer outside the store and told him about the earlier theft, saying Davis had returned to the store.

The officer spotted Davis outside the store wearing the same clothing the manager said he was wearing in the previous theft.

The officer detained Davis and brought him into the store where he was confronted by surveillance video allegedly showing his previous theft.

Davis reportedly admitted to police that, "He got greedy," saying, "It was so easy that he came back for another TV."

Davis said he gave up on the second attempt after he realized store employees were watching him.

Davis, who has a prior shoplifting conviction, has again been charged with shoplifting.
