A tip from Google led to the arrest of a Guadalupe man after police found dozens of images of children engaged in sexual activity on his phone.

Tempe police say they received several cyber tips from Google saying that a user had downloaded over 50 files showing what appeared to be children engaged in inappropriate activity.

Google reported to police that the IP address was registered to a home in Guadalupe and a cell phone.

Tempe police investigated and found that the home and phone belonged to 34-year-old Luis Espuma.

On April 21, Espuma was arrested at his workplace near Mill Avenue and University Drive.

Police reviewed the files on the phone and found multiple sexually explicit photos of children.

Espuma reportedly told police that the phone was his and he is the only one that uses it.

Tempe police are recommending charges of 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor against the man.
