Police captured two men after an armed robbery of a woman in broad daylight in the Westgate parking lot.

Glendale police report that on August 2 about 3 p.m., a woman was with a friend in a restaurant at the Westgate City Center when she noticed a man staring at them.

They were nervous and left the restaurant and went into another business.

However, the man followed them and continued watching them. The woman later noticed the man get into a car and leave.

They then went into the parking lot to their car. That's when the suspect's car came behind them, blocking in their vehicle.

A man, later identified as 19-year-old Daniel Esteban Lopez Ramirez, pointed a handgun at both women.

One woman ran from the area, and the other got into her car. Ramirez reportedly got into the car with her and took her wallet.

Ramirez and another man, 19-year-old Diego Armando Ochoa, then drove away. Police say a CO2-powered gun and wallet were thrown from the car as it left.

Ochoa later ran from the car and was caught and bit by a police K-9 officer. Police say Ochoa was found with money from the victim's wallet.

Ramirez drove the car into a dead end and was captured by police.

Both men have been charged with multiple crimes including armed robbery and resisting arrest.
