Each Friday, we're looking for your help to track down fugitives in our state.

Wanted: Adam (Adan) Campos
Charges: Probation violation of amended charges of attempted child molestation

On November 2, 2001 Campos molested an 11-year-old girl who was the niece of a friend.

The girl was spending the night at her uncle's home when Campos asked her if she wanted to watch television. They sat next to each other on the couch when Campos molested her.

She immediately told her uncle when he returned home.

The girl remained terrified of Campos after the crime, her family having to add locks to the door of their home to give her a greater sense of security. When she was forced to confront Campos in court, she shook violently.

Campos asked for probation, telling authorities he was just, "in the wrong place at the wrong time." He described the 11-year-old child as the sexual aggressor and is viewed as a "high risk offender."

Campos was able to plea to a reduced charge of attempted child molestation." He was sentenced in 2003 to a one year imprisonment and lifetime probation.

Less than a year later he violated his probation and has been on the run ever since November 2004.

Campos is described as 41-years old, 5-foot 6, 130 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.
