A Peoria teen is accused of helping "acquaintances" steal over $22,000 worth of goods from Dick's Sporting Goods.
Glendale police say 19-year-old Brandon Scott Quinones worked as a cashier at the store in Arrowhead Mall.
Authorities say Quinones would have acquaintances "buy" $350-$500 worth of goods at his register. He would ring up the items and then void all transactions except the least expensive one. Sometimes, police say, he would just bag the items without ringing them up at all.
Police say Quinones told them this would happen about four times week with about 8 - 10 "acquaintances" per day.
Quinones is facing charges of theft and fraudulent schemes.
