Wells Fargo & Co. is permanently closing its museums in Phoenix and 10 other cities, so its museum at the bank's San Francisco headquarters will be the only one to reopen after Covid-19 restrictions lift.

"The Wells Fargo Museum program has been a strong reflection of local engagement.

After evaluating our business and community strategies, we have decided to consolidate the program to focus on our San Francisco museum location and close the remaining 11 museum locations over the next 12 months," Wells Fargo said in a statement to the Business Journal.

Wells Fargo, which is the second-largest bank in the Valley after Chase Bank, has one museum in Phoenix, according to its website, at 100 W. Washington St. at the downtown Wells Fargo Plaza.
