Scottsdale-based Axon Enterprise Inc. has inked a deal with its first federal law enforcement agency customer that will use its body cameras and digital evidence management system, in addition to its Taser weapons.

The U.S. Forest Service, which has used Tasers since 2008, will outfit its officers and agents across its law enforcement and investigative agency with Axon Body 2 cameras, backed by the Axon Evidence system.

The Forest Service also ordered the Axon Signal Performance Power Magazine, a conducted energy weapon battery that alerts cameras on the Axon network to begin recording when the safety is in the armed position.

The magazine will be used with the Taser X26Ps deployed across the agency, according to Axon.
