SCOTTSDALE, AZ — In an effort to engage more with the local community, the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is opening a brick-and-mortar retail store in the Scottsdale Quarter shopping center.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic has forced the AAA Five Diamond resort to rely more on local leisure customers instead of events and group business, leadership at the Princess decided it had to connect even more with that base.
“During times like these it is important to get creative,” said Teresa Thompson, the director of retail and resort experience at the Princess. “So many of our local guests are already at the Quarter, so why not connect with them there.”
Scottsdale Quarter, which is owned by Columbus, Ohio-based Washington Prime Group, shares a similar, high-end, luxury seeking, local customer base with the Princess, Thompson said.
