PHOENIX — For the past decade nothing has impacted the restaurant industry more than online reviews, but a new report shows that reviewers aren’t as harsh as some restaurateurs might think.

Of all the online reviews Arizona restaurants get on sites like Yelp, Google and TripAdvisor, 78.8% are positive, according to research done by business management software company Womply, which has conducted other reports on restaurant revenue.

While one or two bad reviews seem to stick out to restaurant owners, for the most part the state has seen positive reviews.

There are areas of the state where the reviews are better than others. Yuma recorded an 86.5% positive review rate, according to the report — the highest in Arizona. On the opposite end, Sedona restaurants have the lowest percentage of positive reviews with 76.4%.
