Eight Arizona breweries earned medals at the Great American Beer Festival over the weekend, coming through in a variety of categories.
The festival, held in Denver, judges craft brewers and others in a taste contest covering 107 beer styles.
It awards three classes of medals — gold, silver and bronze — depending on how judges rate the beer.
Two Arizona beers took home gold medals, denoting what organizers deem to be world-class beers.
