NEW YORK — Video of a New York police officer crashing a dirt bike into another car has prompted an internal investigation.
According to local ABC station, ABC 7 Eyewitness News, the incident was caught on camera in Harlem, Manhattan, on Sunday afternoon.
Video shows the officer on a dirt bike, popping a wheelie and then riding into an intersection, nearly missing another car and pedestrian.
Shortly after, he loses control and falls off the bike, sending it into stopped cars at the intersection.
ABC 7 says the officer was treated for a minor leg injury at the hospital.
They say the incident is under review by New York Police Department.
ABC 7 says the dirt bike was reportedly abandoned after it was spotted driving recklessly through traffic.
