Colton

It’s the phone call no parent wants to get. That their child was in a horrific car accident and may not survive.

In March 2017, Colton was in a major accident when the vehicle he was driving flipped 10 times, ejecting him through the windshield. He sustained multiple serious injuries, including a broken back, two aortic tears and broken ribs. He was left partially paralyzed.

But Colton is a living miracle and was kept alive by the amazing doctors and nurses at Phoenix Children’s Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center.

He is working hard in physical therapy to regain his ability to walk, even though it’s been a difficult time.

Colton credits the doctors, nurses and child life staff for keeping him so positive.

His parents still believe that if they hadn’t gotten him to Phoenix Children’s Hospital, he wouldn’t have survived.

He will graduate from high school next month and plans to walk across the stage.
