SCOTTSDALE – All aboard! “Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition” is expected to open this May at Odysea in the Desert.
The current exhibition “Bodies Revealed,” which showcases more than 200 preserved human bodies, is expected to close on April 21.
“Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition” consists of seven galleries that guide you through the voyage of the famous 882-foot ship before and after sinking. The exhibition will move through the ship’s construction to life on board to the tragic sinking.
People will be able to see the shipyards in Belfast, Ireland where the ship was orginally built and touch an actual iceberg like the one that brought the ship down. People will see replicated staterooms of first and third-class passengers and learn about the ship’s boiler room.
The exhibition puts visitors in the passengers’ shoes, giving people the ultimate feel and emotional connection to those traveling on board.
Before entering the exhibition, people will receive a replica boarding pass of someone who actually traveled on the Titanic, and in the “Memorial Room,” you can discover whether the person survived or not.
The exhibition is scheduled to open May 8 and pre-sale tickets are avalaible online for $15-$20 per person. Regular admission is $20-$25. Children 2 years and younger are free.
