PHOENIX — Phoenix City Council will vote on October 16 on adding a $4 fee for airport pickups/drop-offs at Phoenix Sky Harbor next year. It would increase to $5 by 2024.

If this plan gets approved by the city council, it will become one of the most expensive airports for ride-sharing in the entire country according to Uber.

Uber has even created a web page that would have your opinion sent to Mayor Kate Gallego and the Phoenix City Council.

Travelers have to decide if they want to pay more for transportation to and from the airport, having to rely on a friend or family member to drop you off, or paying to park at the airport for the duration of your trip.

The institution of higher fees for the airport inconveniences the main idea of ride-sharing, which makes it easier for transportation.
