Kanye West is donating millions of dollars to an art project in Northern Arizona.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the rapper wrote a $10 million check to James Turrell. Turell’s an artist who’s been working on a large-scale project at Roden Crater since 1972.
Within the next five years, he hopes to finish turning the extinct volcano in Flagstaff into an observation center for his visual art installations. Yeezy recently got a sneak peek of the progress and was blown away.
Turrell is said to be “thrilled” by West’s donation “at such a critical juncture of the project.”
