PHOENIX – Barbie is going on a road trip!
The Instagram account known as “Barbiestyle” is teaming up with Visit Arizona to take the doll on a fun trip around some of the state’s most popular tourist destinations.
Yes, the Barbie doll is real. The account takes a real doll and showcases her day-to-day life on social media. From going to work, hanging out with friends, and traveling the world, this girl is really living the life – so to speak.

With a decline in children being interested in the Mattel toy, the company got creative and built an entire personality for the doll on a popular sharing platform. Barbie actually travels the world with her team and takes real shots on her journey, spokespeople for Barbie told Racked in an interview.
Now, Barbie is venturing out of her Malibu home to warmer weather as she road trips with some of her friends (and her puppy, of course) to top places here in Arizona. Here is a look at the locations the doll has already visited.
Barbie first teased about her vacation with a shot of her packing for the trip. With hiking boots, a water bottle and a baseball hat, it’s clear she is ready for the desert.
The team arrived at Mountain Shadows resort in Scottsdale and snapped a quick picture by the pool of Barbie and her friend lounging in swimsuits. Wise words from the icon: When in the desert, find water.
A few days into her vacation, Barbie has been on a classic Sedona Pink Jeep Tour (how could she resist anything pink) and visited the beautiful Antelope Canyon on Tuesday.
Of course, Barbie made a stop in Phoenix to take the classic picture with a cactus. Is that Barbie or Taylor Swift?
The doll’s trip seems to be far from over. Plus, if her first post about “something grand” is anything to go off of, we can expect Grand Canyon pictures to be coming soon. Someone must have told her the National Park is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
