Developers are making plans to build the “Roosevelt Land Yacht Club” on Roosevelt Row. It’s described as the modern version of affordable housing, created by a group of developers in True North Studio

The building would be comprised of vintage travel trailers, with about 350 square feet of living space, that is embedded into a structure surrounding a parking garage that already exists.

The structure will have about four levels with 30 units and will be built on a 15-foot strip of land between the space that wraps around the parking garage and the sidewalk.

The development company is currently beginning the design review process with the City of Phoenix.

Head of the True North Studio development company, Jonathon Vento, created the concept of this project with architect Alison Rainey and artist Wayne Rainey.

It is currently in the conceptual phase and Vento estimates it will take about six months to go through the City of Phoenix’s review process. He also hopes to begin building in mid-2020.

Jonathon Vento is also creating other developments in Phoenix.
