9 ways to beat the heat in Phoenix this summer

PHOENIX — As temperatures in Phoenix seem to be climbing on a ladder with a destination to the sun, being outside during summer months doesn’t seem so appealing. However, even with triple-digit heat, there are still many fun activities for you and your friends and family to do. 

Check out this list of fun things to do in Phoenix this summer:

  1. The Musical Instrument Museum is an internationally recognized museum right in our own backyard. Stay out of Arizona’s heat and learn about the wonderful world of music.
  2. The Phoenix Art Museum hosts events like Family Afternoon and Stroller Tour Tuesday for the little ones. The craze about this place has been centered around one of their current exhibitions that looks you’re standing in a swarm of fireflies. 
  3. The Arizona Science Center is another fun way to spend the way with the family. The science center also offers a discounted pass during the summer.

  4. The OdySea Aquarium in Scottsdale brings the ocean to Arizona and offers events and interactive experiences for all ages. The aquarium just recently introduced their newest member: Mighty Mike, the largest alligator in the country on display outside of the state of Florida, according to the website.
